Cheese pâté

Here’s a simple and tasty cheese pâté recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar, goat cheese, or a mix)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs (like chives, parsley, or dill) for garnish
  • Optional: a pinch of cayenne or paprika for added spice

Instructions:

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and minced garlic (if using).

  2. Mix Until Smooth: Use a fork or a hand mixer to blend everything until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a chunkier texture, mix less.

  3. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. If desired, mix in cayenne or paprika for some heat.

  4. Chill: Transfer the pâté to a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs before serving. This cheese pâté is perfect for spreading on crackers, bread, or veggies!

Feel free to customize the cheese or add any spices you like for a unique flavor!
